Great opportunity for an aerospace Principal Engineer responsible for component design of high temperature pneumatic butterfly air valves in Aerospace applications. (Also have a similar position for a project engineer with this specific background.) This particular valve has a crucial function. It shoots hot air onto parts of the plane engine and keeps ice from forming, it is also applicable to airplane wings. As a Principal Engineer of a dynamic group, you will ensure timely and efficient completion of detailed engineering projects to achieve company cost and customer service objectives. Your past experience as a project leader will be a success factor as you will have technical responsibility for design planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and development of new or improved products and/or processes.

This client is a supplier of aircraft fuel systems, fuel valves, and pneumatic valves, and this division has commercial and military customers.

Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of complete design of OEM valves including required deliverables.

Work with and guide Engineering Designers to get project completed per schedule.

Provide technical recommendations internally and to external customers.

Able to synthesize customer requirements and perform initial sizing.

Job Requirements :
Bachelors degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering-must have recent aerospace experience.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions, and should have ten or more years of related experience.
High temperature pneumatics design experience.
Experience designing butterfly or poppet valves desired.
Strong analytical skills.
CAD/CAE tools such as CATIA/Ansys/CFD experience a plus.
