Job Description:
  • We are seeking a champion of quality to join our team and serve as auditor for various suppliers to ensure compliance of quality, cost, and reliability per a multitude of aerospace industry standards.
  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel throughout the United States, visiting various suppliers to ensure that these suppliers are remaining in compliance with quality standards and ensuring all the proper documentation is kept up-to-date.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Establish positive working relationship with suppliers to facilitate the flow down of quality requirements and respond to queries regarding flow down requirements.
  • Support AS9100 Rev. D embodiment where applicable
  • Perform supplier audits to identify compliance gaps and manage gap closure activities with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier compliance via routine metrics to provide regular feedback
  • Document audit resolts and store documentation in appropriate SIS repository
  • >50% travel anticipated, domestic and international
 
Required Skills & Abilities
  • 5 years of experience managing supplier quality in Aerospace projects
  • Knowledge of AS/EN9100, AS/EN9120, and ASQR-01 requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project and MS Visio software
  • Proficiency in using the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure proper use of Acceptance Authority Media (AAM)
  • Ability to initiate and lead change management plans to meet documentation, and ASQR standards
  • Applied knowledge and daily use of ACE principals: RRCA / DIVE
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes and requirements
  • ASQ / RABQSA / Lead Auditor Certifications highly desired
  • CT/MA/GA/MN/DC
 
Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
