Software Engineers (NHR-02/21/74/86)
J.F. Taylor is looking for motivated individuals with a passion for working on cutting edge programs using state-of-the-art technology. We currently have openings for all levels of software developers from the experienced professional to the college graduate seeking their first full-time position. As an employee of J.F. Taylor, you will work as part of a team – designing, developing, creating, and bringing to life the next generation of flight simulators. Our projects include the excitement of developing new prototype systems and the technical challenge of injecting new technologies into legacy products.
Responsibilities: As a software developer, you will be simulating real world aircraft systems that range from the simple to the complex. Your tasking will include the software design, development, integration, and testing of avionics, mission system, and aerodynamic models involved with real-time simulators. You will be working with hardware engineers to develop software to stimulate and integrate both commercial and military hardware. Your position will involve coding in Linux and Windows Operating System (OS) environments, using open source libraries such as QT and Boost. Some travel is expected.
Qualifications: A Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree is desired however, if you are an experienced non-degreed software developer – we want to talk to you. You must be able to program using C and C++ in both a Windows and/or Linux/Unix environment. We need you to possess strong independent coding skills and a willingness to communicate and work alongside other software and project team members. You must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
