My client is seeking a highly-qualified engineer in perception and localization, with a specific focus around the areas of computer vision and machine learning, and with relevant experience also in simultaneous localization and mapping, estimation theory, and robotics/autonomy.
You’ll be expected to work on a variety of exciting problems including but not limited to: machine learning applied to object detection and location recognition, vision-based nav and 3D mapping, image analytics, geolocation and tracking, as well as multi-sensor fusion autonomy. Hands-on experience in project execution and in designing, developing, and validating real-time perception algorithms to accurately address concrete problems is highly desirable.
The engineer in this position will also be expected to provide technical support for internal and external research and development proposals, while staying abreast of the state of the art in perception and localization technologies.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of an M.S. or Ph.D.( preferred) degree in Computer Science (or closely related field) with strong record of successful project execution and team work skills. The candidate should have graduate level research and development experience in state of the art perception algorithms, demonstrate strong skills in designing, developing and testing perception and localization solutions, and proven programming skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB with a specific focus on computer vision (e.g., OpenCV) and machine learning/AI libraries. Experience with navigation sensors and systems, Kalman filtering, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), and digital signal processing also highly desirable. Ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.
