Mechanical Process Engineer

3-5 years of experience

Must have experience in a regulated industry (heavy automotive, medical device, military or aerospace)

Must have several of the items listed in the job description

Must have a Mechanical Engineering Degree

 

Leads and creates manufacturing process development including work instructions, tooling, fixture design, value stream mapping, process & product characteristics, CTQ’s and DMR.
Primary technical input for DFM with Client

Creates DMR development for NPI launch, including process flow development/router, bill of materials, labor standards, pFEMA development, customer/internal prints, packaging, & oversees development of Engineering Masters
IQ/OQ/PQ protocol development and final reports
Supports NPI process with NPI PM
Ensure use of simulation tools for software where applicable & techniques such as DFMEA (C&T only), PFMEA and risk management
Creates ECN’s /SCR’s (product)
Supports quoting activities, process outline and costing 

Leads pFEMA development & team discussions along with managing risk mitigation activities & testing
Lead engineering test protocol development & reporting for process characterization & process testing
Responsible for profitability of process

Correlate programming machine times to quoted times
Identify excessive costs, develop methods for cost reduction & implement cost reductions. Implement defect reduction activities that drive cont improvement, standardization of post processors in all areas
Develops change control & labelling while ensuring highest quality with minimum inspection 
Control plan development including inspection methodology, prevention controls, detection controls, reaction plans, inspection frequency rationale, & ongoing monitoringCorrelate programming machine times to quoted times
